This is one of the most popular Lanai events. Nature Conservancy is a non-profit organization which regularly holds these Hawaiian hikes and nature trails.
The short trail, which takes about 10-15 minutes to walk, is easily accessible off the main road out to Keahikawelo (Garden of the Gods). The trail is designed to increase the awareness and appreciation of the dry forest of Kanepuu, one of the last remaining examples of the type of forest.

This is one of the most popular Lanai events. Annual Ka Molokai Makahiki is a time of peace and celebration of the Hawaiian Heritage.
This spectacular event is inclusive of some great entertainment besides great food, and Hawaiian games like huki huki (tug-of-war), ulumaika (lawn bowling) and uma (arm wrestling),just to name a few. Come and watch the island of Molokai compete in traditional Hawaiian games.

Lei Day ( May Day)

This is a popular event. Lei Day Tradition has a historical signifiancne to it. It was founded by artist and poet Don Blanding in 1923.
On Lei Day Hawaiians follow the custom of placing a flower garland around the neck of someone special. This garlanding of flowers represents that, they feel just as good to give as they do to receive as they represent and encompass the true spirit of Aloha!
